Science Day Celebration

To inculcate the value of scientific thinking by enhancing scientific temperament among the students, Science Day was celebrated in GNFPS, Patiala on 28.02.24. Different activities like quiz, group song and dance were performed by the students of classes 4th to 9th wherein they interpreted scientific concepts through movement and expression. Students of primary wing took on the roles of renowned scientists and briefed about their contributions to the world.Different experiments were shown to the students with an aim that life activities are almost science and not miracles. Overall, it was an enriching experience for the students.

Worthy Session

An informative session on “Road Safety”,"First Aid"and “Cyber Crime” was organised at GNFPS,Patiala on 29.02.24 for the students of classes VII and VIII by Mr. Kaka Ram Verma DTS (Retd.) Red cross Society Patiala. He imparted knowledge of how to provide first aid in case of fainting,unconsciousness and other commonly occurring situations in our day to day life. He also made the students aware of the road safety and various traffic rules.A part from this he acquainted the students about different kinds of cyber crimes and their consequences. There was an active participation by all the students. Our honourable Deputy Director,Mrs.Renu Hanspal and respected Principal,Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi appreciated his efforts for taking an initiative towards this noble cause which was highly informative and insightful.

Admit Cards Issued

The staff members and the students of classes 10th &12th of GNFPS, Patiala recited the Japji Sahib ,Chaupai Sahib and Anand Sahib path followed by Ardaas and Hukamnama in the school premises.This ceremony was organised to seek the blessings of the Almighty before appearing for the board exams ,after which admit cards were issued to the students.

Basant Panchami Celebrations

Students of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala celebrated the festival with great fervour.Various activities like Kite making,recital of shabad and Saraswati Vandana,Inter House kite flying competition etc. were organised on this joyous occasion.Teachers and students wore attires in saffron and yellow colour showcasing the vibrancy and vitality of the spring.May the blessings of nature and the wisdom of the season guides us towards a year filled with abundance and achievements.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024

Live broadcast of interactive session on Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 with our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was shown to the students and teachers of GNFPS, Patiala.All of them were thrilled to have attended this live session.His emphasis on exam stress management and the invaluable tips he shared for tackling exams were truly enlightening.The session was incredibly insightful providing a unique opportunity for students to connect with our leader and gain insights on navigating the challenges of exams. PM Modi ji's words were not just motivational but also practical, offering a holistic approach to exam preparation.

Republic Day Celebration

The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated with immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm by the students and staff of GNFPS, Patiala on 25th January 2024.On this patriotic occasion , special assembly was organised by the students wherein they showcased various performances like recital of patriotic songs,skit and speeches honoring the Constitution, fostering a sense of national pride among the attendees.The celebration ended with the National Anthem.

HASTA LA VISTA 2023-24

HASTA LA VISTA 2023-24 Gnfps,Patiala organised farewell for the outgoing classXll (2023 -24) on 30th December 2023 at Palm Courts,Patiala . Class XI(2O23-24) had arranged this ceremony named as Hasta La Vista to bid adieu to their seniors. The event commenced with the welcome of honourable Deputy Director Mrs.Renu Hanspal and Respected Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi.The programme was adorned by devotional song by Shivom,Kritika and Saravjot Singh,guitar playing and melodious singing by Shivom of XI ,ramp walk and fusion dance numbers. The zenith of the event was Bhangra performance by Class XI.Many students from class 12th shared emotional anecdotes from their memorable school days. Our respected dignitaries extended their best wishes to the outgoing batch to continue to shine in their future endeavours.Japjit Kaur and Jasraj Singh Toor received the prestigious title of Miss GNF and Mr GNF respectively.Delicious food was served to everyone.The entire day was filled with entertainment and exhilaration.

ਤਿਲਕ ਜੰਝੂ ਰਾਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾਕਾ II  ਕੀਨੋ ਬਡੋ ਕਲੂ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਕਾ II A special Assembly was conducted in GNFPS,Patiala to pay a tribute to the 9th Sikh Guru Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji.The Assembly was hosted by Vigyan House.It commenced with the prayers and hymns ,followed by a speech on the unprecedented sacrifice of Guruji and his beloved Sikhs for the human race by the students of class 8th ,a poem describing the unwavering courage and selflessness of Guru Sahib Ji was presented by the students of class 5th. A speech highlighting the historical significance of the Guru Ji's Martyrdom and emphasizing the values he stood for was given by one of the teacher.The whole week was dedicated to the sacrifice of Guruji in the form of Sakhi,poems, quiz etc. by the students of classes Nursery to XII.Our honourable Deputy Director Mrs.Renu Hanspal and respected Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi also paid tribute to the Lasani shahadat of Guru Sahib Ji.

Sports Day

The Annual Sports Day(Zilicon 2k23) of GNFPS Patiala was celebrated on 23rd November 2023 amidst great mirth,verve and camaraderie. Mr. Mohammad Sarfraz Alam,IPS,Superintendent of Police,city Patiala was the chief guest. Our alumni Mr. Manish Gupta, scientist ISRO Bangalore and Mrs.Manmeet Kaur Ghuman,Civil Judge cum Judicial Magistrate, Tohana, Haryana along with Jashandeep Kaur Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Patiala were the guest of honour. S. Partap Singh Ji Director Guru Nanak Foundation, Mrs.Renu Hanspal, Deputy Director, Guru Nanak Foundation, Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi Principal GNFPS, Patiala Mrs Poonam, Principal Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Chappar Chiri,Mrs Karamjit Kaur, Incharge Traffic Education cell , Patiala, Madam Yum Nagi, PCR Incharge, Patiala and other invited Dignitaries were present on the occasion. The Principal Mrs Jasjeet Sohi, welcomed the chief guest and gathering formally. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the meet open by the Chief Guest marking the commencement of the sports Meet. It was followed by a spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized March Past by the four house contingents. The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event were field and track displays. Races for the parents of the students were also held which were enjoyed by them, Staff Race was also there. Teachers participated in the race enthusiastically The chief guest lauded the zest and vitality of the students.To seek the blessings of the Almighty the cultural programme began with a Shabad followed by a wide a variety of events like Mass PT, Gatka, National Integration, Bhangra, Marshal Art, Sammi and various other dance performances which were spectacular and enthralled the audience. The chief guest addressed the audience and motivated the students to participate actively in sports.Tags of best Athlete both boys
and girls were given to Mr. Lovepreet Singh and Ms. Sukhnoor Kaur respectively .Vigyan house
bagged the Best house trophy and was awarded with the cash prize of Rs 2100/-. The function culminated with full fervor zest and zeal.

Diwali CelebratIon

Diwali was celebrated in the school campus with great pomp and show. The school was wearing the festive look with lanterns,diyas,flowers and other decoration done by the students.Other activities like Diya Decoration,Wall hangings,Toran making and Rangoli competition were also conducted.
Through these activities a message to say no to crackers and promote green and safe diwali was given to the students.
 

𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊

In accordance to CBSE guidelines,GNFPS,Patiala observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30 October to 5 November 2023 in the school premises.An '𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞' was taken by the students as well as teachers against corruption.Poster making activity highlighting the harmful effects of corruption was also done by the students of Class VIII.

'Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath' campaign to celebrate 154th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
GNFPS,demonstrated its commitment to community service and cleanliness on 01-10-23 by participating in a one-hour "Shramdaan" at Gurudwara Dera Baba Jassa Singh Ji,place of worship.
The drive which began at 10 am, aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility within the community.
Students and staff members passionately participated in cleaning the place and undertook a pledge towards 'Shramdaan' and devoting themselves in keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic

First Aid Session

GNFPS, Patiala conducted a training session for the whole Teaching Staff.The speakers of the session were Mr.Kaka Ram Verma ex.DTS,Red Cross and Inspector Karamjit Kaur Incharge Traffic Education Cell.They talked about First Aid for injuries,causes of heart attack, symptoms of heart attack and also preventive measures for the same.They also spoke about the benefits and functioning of CPR. Educators were trained about how to prevent fire accidents.Madam Karamjeet Kaur spread awareness about cyber crime prevention.Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi thanked the speakers for guiding and training the teachers how to handle situations in case of emergency.Overall the session was enriching and knowledgeable which would help the teachers to be valuable citizens of the society .

GNFPS, PATIALA Wrestler Amandeep Singh from Class IX -C showcased his wrestling skill at State Level organised by School Games Federation of India at Amritsar.He got Gold medal under -14 category and has been selected for the National level Tournament to be held at Madhya Pradesh next month.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION

"Teachers are the guiding stars who light up our paths to knowledge and wisdom."
The Teachers' Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.Special Assembly was conducted on 5.09.23. by the students of classes 1st to 10th . The event commenced by seeking the blessings of Almighty,followed by recitation of poem by the students of primary wing ,fun games for teachers, heartwarming songs, mesmerizing dances and activities like making of bookmarks and cards for the teachers.
Principal,Mrs. Jasjeet Sohi, took over the stage to express her gratitude and heartfelt wishes to our dedicated teachers for their unwavering dedication and hard work.

Activity on Janam Asthmi

With the great guidance of Principal mam and untiring efforts of teachers a puppet show was organised in the school for the students of classes Nursery to Ist. The students enjoyed the whole concept and learnt about the birth history of Kanna ji. The tiny tots showed their enthusiasm by participating in the show while getting dressed in the attires of Krishna ji and Radha ji
The concept was narrated by the teachers, and students expressed their excitement about the festival by asking their queries about it.

Rakhi Making Activity

As GNFPS, Patiala always believe in inculcating values by celebrating various festival and events,today the Little Munchkins of Kindergarten ,as well as the students of Primary wing were motivated to make rakhi for their loving brothers.
Students were also shown the story related to the festival for arousing their immense love and care towards their sibling.Not only the emotions, but making the love thread with an eco- friendly activity using the concept "The Best out of waste" has imbibed them with need to safeguard the environment. A complete enthusiasm was shown by the students while performing the same.

EMBROIDERY COMPETITION

Handkerchief Decoration with Embroidery Competition was conducted in GNFPS, Patiala for classes XI and XII (All streams) on 29.07.23 in context to Raksha Bandhan. Participants showcased their creativity and made beautiful designs using
vibrant and bright colours.Through it the students were motivated to get connected to their rich culture.

Awareness Seminar

A seminar on CYBER CRIME,was conducted in GNFPS , Patiala for the students of classes 9th&10th today.
The seminar was in association with Umang Welfare Foundation.
The session proved to be knowledgeable for the students .The students were much aware after the session. Prabhsimran Kaur of class IX C summarised the session in the end .She was presented a gift by the team for her attentive presence during the session.
The efforts made by the President of Umang Welfare Foundation S.Arvinder singh , Cyber Expert cum Senior Vice President of foundation Anurag Acharaya, Joint Secretary Paramjit Singh and Coordinator Dr. Gaganpreet kaur were really appreciable.

Teej Celebration
18.08.23

Teej was celebrated in GNFPS Patiala with mirth and joy by the students of classes 4th -10th. To show glimpse of Punjabi culture the stage was decorated with phulkari,charkha,chhaj etc . Special Assembly was organised which began with Mool Mantar followed by speech,Giddha ,folk songs and skit. Various activities and Inter House Competitions like mehndi rachao, cooking, drawing etc.were also conducted with the motive to bind the students with our rich Punjabi heritage.
Ms.Jasjeet Sohi , Principal conveyed her festive wishes and blessed all the children on this auspicious day.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

The spirit of true patriotism was revived when GNFPS, Patiala celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas at the school premises on 26.07.23.
Special assembly was conducted in context to it which was commenced by seeking the blessings of Almighty followed by an English play depicting the true story of bravery and sacrifice made by Indian soldiers .The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
The students of classes 4th to 8th participated in Poster Making Activity . The motive of promoting patriotism in the children was well achieved.

A session was conducted in the school premises for the students of classes 7th & 8th.The speaker was a ex- foundationer, a Veterinary Consultant Dr .Manveen Kaur.

She talked about the healthy and favourable food and caring habits for the pets. The session was both inspirational and informative.The students enjoyed it a lot.

MISSION HARYALI 

The students and staff of GNFPS,Patiala participated in Mission Haryali -2023 which was organised by Apna Punjab Foundation in collaboration with  FAP(Federation of Private schools and associations of Punjab)on 17th July 2023. 1059 Students & 88 Teachers participated in the mission. Tree Saplings were planted with the aim to conserve flora of the Punjab.

Pride Moment for GNFPS

GNFPS, Patiala was honoured  by Guru Arjan Sewa Mission , Patiala on 16.07.23 at Gurdwara Naveen Singh Sabha Patiala on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of the society.The school was awarded with a momento for their maximum participation in Gurmat activities.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The students of GNFPS,Patiala celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st, 2023 through virtual meet.The students performed various asanas under the guidance of their teachers.It helped the students in knowing the role of yoga and boosted their happiness ,  flexibility and focus.

A Factual TourTo Manali

GNFPS, Patiala organised an excursion tour of 4 days for it's students of classes 11th to 12th to Manali,a hill station in H.P,wherein the students savoured the beauty of spot and the nearby places like Solang Valley,Koksar,Attal Tunnel .They enjoyed the adventures available there.Also ,the students learned the life skills of independence, appreciation, adaptability and flexibility.

Overall it was a wonderful experience for the students under the vigilance of the teachers.

One Day Trip

Funcity, Chandigarh

GNFPS, Patiala organised a one day trip to Funcity for classes 4th to 12th on 15.05.23.The students enjoyed wave pool, slides, typhoon tunnel, pendulum, rain shower, crazy waterfall etc..Overall it was a wonderful experience for the students under the vigilance of the teachers.

Mother's Day Celebration

"Of all the gifts that life has to offer ,a mother is the greatest of them all"

GNFPS Patiala, organised activities on 12.05.23 to celebrate Mother's Day . Students of classes 1st to 8th participated enthusiastically in Card and Badge making activities. It was a pleasure watching the energetic students preparing something unique and special for their mothers.

EXAMINATION (CLASS-X) 2022-23

Cordial Congratulations To The Management, Principal, Staff And Students of GNFPS,Patiala.

CBSE Class X results was announced today ie. 12.05.23 . Restoring the legacy, Gnfpians added up to the pride of the school by giving the praiseworthy results.

The overall result is 100% . Rhythmpreet Kaur topped the school with 97% followed by Aryan Sofeth with 95.6% stood second and Nidhi with 95.2% stood third in the school.

Out of total 217 appeared, 17 students scored above 90%.

The staff along with the students rejoiced at the astounding results of Class X. Our worthy Deputy Director Mrs.Renu Hanspal, respected Principal Mrs. Jasjeet Sohi and the Academic Incharge Mrs.Meenakshi Sood appreciated the toppers on their achievements and motivated them to put in
more efforts and rise higher.

Success is best when it's shared. GNFPS, Patiala feels proud to announce it's 100% result of Class Xll.

Out of 212 appeared, 28 students scored above 90%, with a highest score of 100 in Accountancy, Chemistry& Fine Arts and 99 in Business Studies ,Pol. Science & Music .

Shubham Gupta of Commerce topped in the school by scoring 96.8% and continued the inheritance of the school,second in the row is Ashmit Garg of Non-Medical scoring 96.2% and third in the row is Samiksha of Non- Medical scoring 95.6% followed by Arshdeep Kaur of Commerce scoring 94.6%.

Furthermore Gunveen Kaur of Medical and Yanshul of Commerce with 94.2%, Tanishdeep Kaur of Humanities, Mankanwal of Medical,and Pratham Singla of Non-Medical with 94% also brought pride to the institute.

The staff along with the students were in the jubilant mood and rejoiced at the astounding results of Class XII. Believing in this, GNFPS, Patiala celebrated the Labour Day today in the morning assembly wherein,cake cutting was organised for the auxiliary staff of the institute,poems in the praise were recited by the teachers and the children applauded their efforts and services.

GNFPS, Patiala conducted 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 for the academic session 2023- 24 on 26th April, 23. The deserving students of classes XI and XII were honoured in the assembly.The badges were pinned by our respected Principal Ms.Jasjeet Sohi.


They were conferred with the duties considering their potential and calibre, with the motive to make them responsible and an ideal for their juniors.

Our Honourable Deputy Director Ma'am and respected Principal Ma'am congratulated the student council and reiterated the ancient adage that states, " With great power comes great responsibilities."

The newly invested office bearers are as follows,

School Head Boy- Jashanpreet Singh Sandhu, School Head Girl - Ravneet Kaur Brar, Vice Head Boy - Jasraj Singh , Vice Head Girl -Yashika Galhotra , School Captain - Yashika Malhotra and Vice School Captain - Anurag.

The whole student council took an oath where they pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

Recreational Games Competition

Children learn as they play.

Keeping this in mind One - Minute Recreational Games Competition was conducted in GNFPS, Patiala for the classes 1st to 3rd with the motive to teach the students team spirit, balancing, perseverance . The students also learnt the concepts of participation, failure & winning. On the whole, it was a fun- filled experience for each child.

Water Activity

As GNFPS, Patiala always believe in learning while playing.

Today the Little Munchkins of Kindergarten were taught the vocabulary related to water like floating, squeezing, pouring, sieving, filling in a playway method.

Students were also taught the concept of water conservation, by reusing it for watering the plants.

Commencement of the New Session 2023-24

Japji Sahib and Choupai Sahib Path was recited by the  staff and the students  of all classes  followed by Ardaas & Hukamnama  in GNFPS,. Patiala on 4.04.23.Whole school folded hands before the Almighty to seek the blessings  before they start functioning of the new session and  prayed before the Almighty to be by their side as always, to encounter the challanges and the endeavours in coming session.

Science Day Celebration

GNFPIANS , Patiala celebrated the Science Day in the school premises today .It was a complete day celebration with different activities .
Celebration started with special assembly wherein the students performed a skit with a moral that life activities are almost science and not miracles.Next there was a science quiz for the students and in the end the students were shown a movie Mission Mangal ,a movie with science and spacecraft theme.

Overall the day was completely utilised to arouse and enhance the scientific curiosity among the students.

Mehakdeep Kaur a student of XII ( Non-Medical) proved the above statement true by participating in first level and qualifying for second level in the IELTH ,a test conducted by Western Overseas Pvt. Ltd on 29.01.23.She competed with more than 350 students from around 70 schools in Patiala district and brought laurels to the school by winning second position and a cash prize of Rs.31000/-

Valediction 2022 -23 

Gnfps,Patiala bids farewell to the outgoing classXll (2022 -23) on 30th December 2022 at Palm Courts,Patiala . Class XI(2O22-23) had organised this ceremony named as valediction to bid adieu to their seniors. The event commenced with the warm welcome of Mrs and Mr.Pratap Singh Ji(honorable Director Sir),Mrs.Renu Hanspal ( Respected Principal Ma'am),Mr.J.P. Hanspal,Mr S.P.Singh and Mrs.Narinderjeet kaur. The programme was adorned by Ramp walk, Sitar playing by State winner Asmita ,mash up melodious singing by boys of XI and fusion dance numbers. The zenith of the event was Bhangra performance by Class XI. Mrs NarinderJeet Kaur (retired English lecturer and writer) extended her best wishes to the outgoing batch through her speech.Shweti and Shubam received the prestigious title of Miss GNF and  Mr GNF respectively.Best Attire was secured by Bharat Mittal andVanshika.Ishwinder Singh proved himself to be the Best Performer.Simarpreet kaur was able to steal the Catwalk title.Best Turban title was given to Prabhmeet Singh.Title of Long Hair was grabbed by Jasnoor kaur.Arshdeep kaur was able to convince the jury by her dazzling smile and Punctuality title was given to Dazleen kaur. The Gnfpians of kindergarten  celebrated Christmas by singing Christmas carols and dance performances in the school premises.  Santa Claus distributed the eatables among the students .It was a joyous moment for our  little munchkins.

 International Fencing Federation (FIE) is organising FIE MENS JUNIOR EPEE World Cup 2022  in December at Tashkent , Uzbekistan.Balram Joshi our enthusiast fencer of class Xl got 8th rank at 30th JUNIOR National Fencing Championship_ 2022 -23 held at Cuttack Odissa on 29th June 2022 .Now he alone will be representing Punjab state at the International borders.

Kala Utsav 2022 -23 had organised various competitions at Inter State level on 19.11. 2022.Ashmita of class XI participated in Solo Instrumental Melodic Item Competition held at P.S.E.B, auditorium ,Mohali . She added an another feather to the GNFPS cap by winning first position in Solo Sitar Vadan .She was awarded with the shield and a certificate. Mankaran Singh of Class VII also deserves appreciation who accompanied her for tabla playing.

Fun Trip to Amritsar

GNFPS, Patiala organised a one day trip to Amritsar for classes 6th to 12th.Total 168 students alongwith P'maam and 7 teachers  joined the trip.The students enjoyed immensely at Golden Temple , Wagha  Border and Sada Pind . It was a wonderful experience full of leisure for the students under the watchful supervision of the teachers.

GNFPS, Patiala organised a one day trip to Chandigarh for classes 1st  to 10th.Total 128 students joined the trip.The students enjoyed immensely at Chattbir Zoo & Chokhi Dhani.Overall it was a wonderful experience of the students under the vigilance of the teachers.

 

Drawing Activity

Drawing with digits was conducted as an activity for the students of classes 4th to 6th in GNFPS, Patiala.
This activity helped students in enhancing their imagination and being creative.The students made different images with single digit.

Inter House Competition

An inter declamation competition was conducted in GNFPS, Patiala for classes 9th &10th with the topic "Travels of Guru Nanak Dev Ji ".The participants surveyed well and displayed an amazing content on each travel of Guruji .

Hindi Workshop

A workshop for the faculty members of Hindi Department was organised in GNFPS, Patiala in collaboration with Bharti Bhawan Publications.Hindi teachers from different schools of the city were invited for the same.

The resource person Ms.Usha Chabbra shared her views on "Developing innovative ideas in learning of language skills".The teachers were immensely benefitted with this workshop.They were enriched with news strategies in making learning more fun.

Nagar Kirtan 

A religious procession was organised by Udami Jatha Lehal Patiala on the penultimate day of Gurpurab on 7.11.2022 ..50 students accompanied by Ms.Manpreet kaur and Ms.Inderjeet kaur of GNFPS took part in Nagar kirtan.Students recited verses of Gurbani and sang devotional songs, while accompanying the Nagar Kirtan. GURPURAB  CELEBRATIONS

Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm in the school campus of GNFPS, Patiala on 7th November,2022. A special assembly  was conducted wherein students recited Mool Mantar and poem in the praise of omnipotent Baba Nanak Ji. The message of universal brotherhood , honesty and kindness  was conveyed through musical skit & teachings of Guru Nanak. Students of kindergarten dressed  up beautifully in religious attire.

The sports enthusiasts of the school participated at State level for various sports competition in Khedan Vatan Punjab Deyian 2022,held at Polo ground from 25.10.22 to 31.10.22.

10 Gnfpians participated for different sports and brought laurels to the school by winning 7 gold medals,4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.All gold medalist were awarded with the cash prize of 10,000/-,silver medalist with 7,000/- and the bronze medalist with 5000/-.

                                                                           

 

 

Federation of Private Schools Association of Punjab organised a National Award Ceremony for the Schools and Principals with different categories on 29.10.22 & 30.10.22 at Chandigarh University, wherein 1600 schools from different states had participated.

Diwali was celebrated in the school campus with great pomp and show. The school was wearing the festive look with lanterns,diyas,rangolis and other decoration done by the students.

Other activities like a Sitar Vadan on Mahalakshmi Aarti , English skits promoting the message of Eco-friendly Diwali,Rap song on saying no to crackers and a dance welcoming the festival wholeheartedly was performed by the students.

The pledge taken by the students to say no to crackers and promote green and safe diwali was the best feature of the celebration.

Inter Institutional Science Fair was organised by M.M.Modi college in their campus on 15th Oct,22. 32 renowned schools of the city  participated in it.Anmol Kaur and Prabhjot Singh of Class XII brought the laurels to the school  by winning 1st prize in Poster Making with the theme Mathematics  for the better world.Also Shalini and Jasmeen of Class IX D won Consolation prize for Poster Making with theme Environmental issues land concerns.All the four winners were awarded with a sheild and the certificates.

District level school games tournament was conducted by DEO  in the month of October.57 sports enthusiasts of GNFPS, Patiala participated in various game events .Out which 41 students of the school brought laurels to the school by winning 26 gold,10 silver and 18 bronze medals. A counselling session on career options in commerce was organised in Gnfps Patiala , under the initiative of Dr.Ravi Bhusan treasurer of Rotary Club in collaboration with G.K institute  on 27.04.22. The resource person was Mr.Gitesh Singla President of Rotract Club Pataila.
The main motive was to guide students for preparing the competitive exams like CUET and IPMAT alongwith the preparation for XII board exams simultaneously.

🎉Baisakhi Celebration🎉

Baisakhi is the foundation day of Khalsa Panth and the harvest festival of Punjab.On this occasion a special assembly was conducted in GNFPS on 13th April 2022 with the students of classes 1st to 3rd.  Cultural Punjabi dances was performed by the students & the poems were recited.Few students orated  on the history of Baisakhi and Importance of five kakar's in Sikh religion.

GNFPIANS ,PTA COMES UP WITH FLYING COLORS WITH CLASS X RESULT

Class X result of  the session 2019-20 has been announced today by the CBSE and our students performed well with MANKIRAT SINGH bagged top position by  scoring 94.6%, GURKARMAN KAUR bagged second position scoring 94.2%, followed by Yadwinder Singh who bagged third position scoring 93.8%.The overall result of the school is 100% with a total students appeared 262.

The staff along with the students rejoiced at the marvelous results of Class X and expressed their happiness through online platforms.

Principal Ms. Renu Hanspal extended her heart felt  congratulations to the GNFPIANS who shown their excellence in the X  Result and got through the Final Exams with flying colors and wished them to get plentiful of opportunities to expand their knowledge and stride high towards a bright future.


SUMMER CAMP THROUGH ONLINE PLATFORMS IN GURU NANAK FOUNDATION PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA 

A virtual summer camp was organised by Guru Nanak Foundation Public School,Patiala with a motive to utilise the  vacation in the most productive manner where the learning process goes hand in hand with fun activities.The camp began its journey on 23rd June and culminated on 3rd July 2020 . The students participated in the activities of their interest.One of them was virtual art and funand learnt to use waste material to make something productive and students showed their creativity . In logic reasoning and Maths* concept building they were taught the simplified and tricky but quick methods of calculation to make this subject interesting and easy . In Yoga meditation and physical fitness program*  sports teachers taught various asanas and techniques to keep our body and mind fit while in Virtual theatre classes the students learnt various acts with different expressions .In Fun with computer program various concepts such as types of networking, network devices and digital presentation were taught.Next and very interesting was Dance  Activity where the students tapped their feet on various musical notes. All in all the summer camp was a great success and was quite productive . Although it was through online medium but then also students enjoyed a lot. Moreover the joining of the parents along with their kids, made it unique and memorable.To conclude the Summer Camp, on 4th July,2020 ,all the Staff Members and the students of Classes 8th to 12th of the school collectively *recited PATH SHRI JAPJI SAHIB  via online platforms and prayed to the ALMIGHTY in the form of ARDAAS*for SARBAT DA BHALLA (Well being of the Entire World)


INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATED IN GURU NANAK FOUNDATION PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA ON 21st. JUNE 2020.  

Today more than 500 students of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala participated in International Yoga Day Celebrations while staying at home by a collective performance of Yoga exercises by connecting through online platforms along with their teachers.

Students were guided and taught these exercises through online classes  before as a  practice to mark this day.Students also uploaded their video of performing yoga asanas on various social platforms with a #My life My Yoga India  and # ministry of ayush to mark this day.

Under the same celebrations few NCC students of  the school participated in a yoga competition organised by the Ministry of Ayush on 15th June 2020.

 Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal said that staying home during lockdown as  one of the most important safety measures for the highly energetic children and youth but equally challenging also and the it becomes the responsibility of the ours as  guiding institutions to take care of the emotional and physical well being of the our children and  the idea behind this celebration was to teach simple  yoga exercises and including them in their daily routine that would certainly help them.She also added that regular Counselling of the children is being done by the the school counsellor through online classes for their emotional well being during this lockdown period.

Online classes for the students in Guru Nanak Foundation Public school, Patiala   

Keeping in view  the  lockdown  in preventing the spread of deadly Corona virus worldwide Guru  Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala has started online classes for all its students in order to make the best use of time while at home Following the instructions given by the SSO,all the students from Nursery to class 8 were promoted on the basis of their class performances and the result was sent through the school app. E-classes  had  already started  for 10th and 12th classes before the lockdown keeping the health and safety of the children on priority . Children are being taught through the videos of the classroom lectures specially made  by the teachers during this lockdown period,and through  the Zoom App.,followed by the assignments that are sent to the children through  the school app. Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal told that the school and the Management is regularly monitoring the online teaching by teachers  and  the interaction of the children with them and giving full and unconditional support so that studies of the children are not affected. She also informed that the parents especially of the Junior Wing are actively interacting with the teachers using  various virtual technologies and helping the children in completing their assignments. Moreover students are also being guided  to download the pdf of the NCERT books available  on the CBSE website.and also given the free access of the School smart class e-content  from home till the school reopens. Besides this the school is regularly guiding and educating its students and the parents as well as how to remain safe against this deadly virus and sharing the useful tips and methods to be followed  from time to time through the school app.


  Title Japji Sahib Path

To seek the Almighty's blessings for the outgoing batches of class 10th and 12th a path of japji Sahib was chanted in the school today.


  CHEERIO (2019-2020)

Cheerio-The word itself means an expression of good wishes on parting. So to bid adieu to the Senior most class of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School Patiala, a Farewell Party was organized in the school on 4th January, 2020. The afternoon was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Mool Mantra Path and sparked off with a welcome speech by the students. The modeling performances of the outgoing class filled the ramp with lively moments followed by funfilled games that refreshed everyone’s mind and mood. A Punjabi comedy was presented by the host class that amused the audience. The pick of the day was the Bhangra event, where students of XI enthralled the gathering with their rhythmic dance steps.  The Parting speech was given by the Head Boy and the Head Girl of the school.

In the end Principal Mrs. Renu Hanspal who was the main source of guidance and inspiration for the whole event awarded the winners of different titles. Ms. GNF 2019-2020 title was won by Gazal preet Kaur and Mr. GNF 2019-2020 title by Kulraj Singh. Saksham Bhatnagar was adjudged for  best performance. The tag for best Ramp walk  was bagged by Kirti and Sukhman Randhawa. Harshita Mittal and Tarunveer Singh bagged tags for best attire. Anoop Kaur won the best smile title while Upinderjit Kaur for beautiful long hair and Jashandeep Singh and Balbir Singh for best Turban. Punctuality award was bagged by Gurleen Kaur.

It was followed by cake ceremony. In the end, a vote of thanks was given by the school coordinator Mrs. Kawaljeet Kaur.

 


NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 

Today a special assembly was conducted in the school to mark the National Science Day. Funfilled activities that were based on scientific principles were demonstrated by the school children on the stage.Mrs.Daman HOD (Science)explained the motive of celebrating the Science Day,while Mrs.Meenakshi Sood, School Academic Incharge involved the children with an  informative short Science Quiz.In the end Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal gave away the prizes to winners of Olympiads in various subjects and blessed the whole gathering. 


Shabad Gayan Competition 

It is a matter of  great pride for the GNFPS family that Ms.Harkawal Kaur from the department of Music of our school has brought laurels by winning the 5th position in Shabad Gayan Competition 'GAAVOH SACHHI BAANI-Part 3' organised by SHIROMANI GURDWARA PRABANDHAK COMMITTEE, which was held in the month of August,2019,at Baba Banda Singh Bahadar Engineering College,Fatehgarh Sahib.She has received a momento,a medal, a certificate and a cheque of Rs.50,000 .We extend our heartiest congratulations to her for this  marvellous achievement.

GURMAT  SAMAGAM ORGANISED IN GURU NANAK FOUNDATION PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA,TO COMMEMORATE  550TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI.

TO COMMEMORATE 550TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI, GURU NANAK FOUNDATION PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA, Organised a "Gurmat Samagam" on 23rd  October, 2019 in the school premises. Japji Sahib path was recited together by the school students and ,teachers collectively in the Deewan under the divine blessings of SHRI GURU GRANTH  SAHIB JI.
 The students of the school participated in poetry recitation, lectures,' shabad vayakhya', Sakhis on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
 Active participation of the students from the Junior wing of the school was highly appreciated by the Sangat.
Parkash Sewa of SHRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI was performed with the recitation of "Sawaiye" by the students while small children wore the uniform of PANJ PAYARAS .The students spoke on 'Siddh Gosht' and 'Arti 'and expressed their gratitude to SAHIB SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI. The whole atmosphere was blissful with the enchanting voices of the students and teachers during the shabad gayan and WAHEGURU SIMRAN. 
It is worth mentioning that the whole SAMAGAM was Organised by the students under the guidance of the teachers.Besides the students, teachers and their families, the Samagam was attended by many distinguished personalities from the Patiala city.
During the Samagam ,TANISHBIR KAUR, our International Boxing Champion, who has brought laurels to the nation, the state, especially the city of Patiala, and the school by winning a gold medal in Junior Asian Boxing Championship held in U.A.E. was also honoured. She was awarded  with THE PANTH RATTAN Dr. S. Inderjit Singh Memorial Trophy, the highest award in the school given to the students  with exemplary achievements, and a shawl by S. Partap Singh, Director, Guru Nanak Foundation, New Delhi and the Principal Mrs. Renu Hanspal. Shri Santosh Dutta, Joint Secretary of Boxing Federation of India, DSO S. Harpreet Singh, Mr. Anudeep, Tanishbir's boxing coach and the parents of Tanishbir were also honoured with a shawl during the event. S. Partap Singh , Director Guru Nanak Foundation, New Delhi addressed the sangat .The Samagam concluded with the recitation of Path Shri Anand Sahib, Ardaas and Hukamnama. Kawaljeet Kaur, the School Coordinator formally thanked the whole Sangat for their presence and at the end  Guru Ka Langar was served.

INTER SCHOOL DECLAMATION CONTEST HELD IN GURU NANAK FOUNDATION PUBLIC SCHOOL PATIALA IN COMMEMORATION OF 550TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI

Guru Nanak Foundation Public School Patiala organised Inter school declamation contest on 19th October, 2019 in commemoration of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the school premises. The topic of the declamation was ‘Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji -The Jagat Guru’. The whole school was decked up with marvellous setting which provided a divine hue to the atmosphere. The Principal Mrs Renu Hanspal warmly welcomed the guests, judges, teachers and the participants of various schools of the Patiala city and around. Mrs. S.P. Singh, Gold Medalist in English from YPS,Patiala, Dr. Doordarshi Singh, Associate Professor and Dr. Sanpreet Singh Arora, Assistant Professor, Baba Banda Singh Bahadar Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib were the distinguished personalities as Judges for the event. Er. Jatinderpal Singh Ji, Retd. Chief Engineer PSPCL, also graced the occasion with his presence. 23 schools with two students from each school, of Patiala and around participated and showcased their oratory skills with fervour and zeal. The participants spoke on the life and 
teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and inspired the audience to follow the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The winner students were awarded with trophies and a book, on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. All the other participants were presented with certificates and a book. At the end, the School Coordinator Ms. Kawaljeet Kaur proposed a vote of thanks and eulogized the contribution of first Guru who founded the base of Sikh religion. All in all the event was a great success.

Pledge Ceremony  in  Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala  TO SAVE  WATER 

A special assembly was conducted in the school in which S.Gurtej Singh Dhillon,former chairman Improvement Trust Nabha visited the school and guided the children to be sensitive enough towards the scarcity of water.He laid special emphasis on the depleting level of ground  water in Punjab region.He  guided the children with various useful and practical tips to save water,followed by a collective pledge taken by the whole school and the staff members, to save water.Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal was also present over there as a source of inspiration and guidance.
In the end S.Gurtej Singh expressed  his gratitude to the Principal for her support and cooperation to conduct this event,followed by a word of thanks to the guests by Kawaljeet Kaur, Coordinator of the school.


Children's Day Celebrations

Children's Day was celebrated with full zeal in the school today to mark the Birth Anniversary of Pt.Jawahar Lal Nehru,the first Prime Minister of India. A special assembly  was organised by Junior and Senior wings of the school  in which the faculty members of all departments presented their items for the children. All the children enjoyed this day .Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal addressed the children and gave inspirational message to the children to  follow the path of hardwork with honesty,that would help them to stride ahead in life with success.

TANISHBIR KAUR of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala has brought laurels to the Nation,State of Punjab and  especially the city PATIALA and the school, by winning Gold medal in Junior Asian Boxing Championships held in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (10-17 October, 2019) .She won the Final bout by beating Lin of Chinese Taipei by 5:0TANISHBIR, a 15 year old girl  of GNFPS has won the National Champion thrice in her category and as said by her that she made her way of success at the International Level  by her dedication towards her game,and avoiding all distractions like watching T.V., movies, outings ,parties .etc

Awareness Programme to stay 'Alert and Safe' held in Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala 

As per the guidelines given by Deputy Commissioner and District child protection Officer, Patiala, an awareness Programme  was organised in the school today to make children alert and safe against kidnapping.Mr.Kaka Ram Verma a well known  social activist today addressed the school children and gave them practical safety tips to stay alert against any doubtful situations. They were also given guidance regarding  traffic rules,to handle emergency situations during accidents, heart attacks etc .by giving easy demonstrations to the students.
Our Honourable Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal and the staff members were also there with the children while they were being guided  for being  safe against child kidnapping.All the children  of age group between 7yrs to 12 yrs attended this event

 GNFPS GIRL WINS. 1st position  in Avantika Solo Dance Competition!!!!

An event of Solo dance  competition  was organised by AVANTIKA- A group of Contemporary Artists and Intellectuals, at The Paradise International School,Ghagga today,in which Kirti of 12th F of Guru Nanak Foundation Public school Patiala, won the 1st prize in solo dance competition in the category of folk dance. About 12 schools of Patiala district  participated in the event.
Dr.Indra Baali ,head of the  department of dance, Punjabi University, Patiala  and her scholar were the judges.The event was headed by Mr.Anand Aggarwal.,director of Avantika. Principals of 16 schools of Patiala  district also graced the musical occasion. 
Mr.Aggarwal, the director of Avantika,specially mentioned Kirti 's name on the stage  as a promising dancer of the future, after seeing her performance. 
 
Our Honourable Principal Mrs.Renu Hanspal is honoured with Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam award 2019 in an event organised by AVANTIKA-A group of Contemporary Artists and Intellectuals ,at The Paradise International School,Ghagga. She is  one of the 16 Principals of Patiala  district to receive this  prestigious award for  her dynamic ,persistent and influential leadership in the field of education. While receiving  the award on the stage ,the hall was echoing with the voice of the anchors who were describing her  life journey as an educator which was   full of success stories and achievements .The award comprised of a trophy,shawl and a certificate and was presented by the director of Avantika, Mr.Anand Aggarwal.The students, staff and the whole GNF family whole heartedly congratulate her and wish her many more achievements  in the future.
