On 30th July 2026, Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala organised a Career Counselling Session in collaboration with Career Launcher for the students of Classes XI and XII (Commerce and Humanities). World Nature Conservation Day Celebrated at Guru Nanak Foundation Public School

Inter-House Kavya Sammelan Competition Held to Commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School organised an Inter-House Kavya Sammelan Competition to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed every year on 26th July to honour the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces.
Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and presented patriotic poems with remarkable confidence, expression, and love for the nation, making the event truly memorable.

Health Awareness Seminar on HPV Vaccine
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School organised a Health Awareness Seminar in collaboration with the Health Department on 25th July 2026 to educate girl students about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and cervical cancer.
The interactive session highlighted the importance of the HPV vaccine in preventing cervical cancer and encouraged students to adopt healthy practices and prioritize preventive healthcare. Students were also motivated to spread awareness about the vaccine among their families, friends, and the community.
Visit to Animal Shelter
On 25th July 2026, as part of the Vocational Education Programme( Kushal Bodh) students of Classes VIII and X visited an animal shelter for a hands-on learning experience in animal care and welfare. A veterinary doctor guided them on animal nutrition, health, hygiene and basic first aid. The students expressed kindness and compassion by feeding the animals with nutritious food items suitable for them. The visit beautifully connected classroom learning with real-life experiences and nurtured empathy, responsibility and respect for all living beings.
Educational Visit to Museum
On 25th July 2026, students of Class VI visited the NIS Sports Museum, Patiala as part of an educational visit. The trip was organised to provide students with practical exposure to India’s rich sporting heritage and inspire them through the achievements of renowned sports persons.
During the visit, students explored valuable sports memorabilia, Olympic achievements, historical sports equipment and the evolution of sports in India. They also enjoyed seeing the historic old train coach displayed at the museum. The visit enhanced their knowledge of Indian sports history, physical fitness and sportsmanship while encouraging them to appreciate the dedication and achievements of national and international athletes.
The educational tour was conducted under the supervision of teachers.
Anti-Bullying & POCSO Awareness Session
An Anti-Bullying and POCSO Awareness Session was organised for the students of Classes I to V on 22nd July 2026. The session focused on creating awareness about bullying, promoting healthy interactions and educating students about Good Touch and Bad Touch. Children were also informed about the school's committees and encouraged to speak to trusted adults whenever they feel unsafe. The session helped create awareness about personal safety and respectful behaviour.
Cleanliness Sensitization
On 16 July 2026, NCC Army Wing cadets of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, visited the Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts and the District Rehabilitation Centre, Badungar.The cadets conducted a cleanliness sensitization drive, spreading awareness about hygiene, waste management and sanitation. The initiative also supported the message of Nasha Mukt Bharat and encouraged a healthy, clean and drug-free society.

Investiture Ceremony 2026–27
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, proudly hosted the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 on 28th April 2026. The event was a proud celebration of leadership, responsibility and commitment, as the newly elected student council members were formally entrusted with their duties.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Mool Mantar, creating a spiritually uplifting and serene atmosphere. The newly appointed student leaders marched with confidence and grace, reflecting the school’s core values of discipline, unity and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of patriotism among all present. The entire school community looks forward to a year guided by integrity, teamwork and inspiring leadership.

GNFPS Patiala Records 100% Result in CBSE Class X Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, achieved a *100% pass result in the CBSE Class X Examination 2025–26. School Toppers:

The program began with a soulful Shabad Gayan then students presented a beautiful poem highlighting the significance of Baisakhi and its cultural importance. Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, celebrated its 33rd Founder’s Day with great enthusiasm, promoting the spirit of World Health Day.
On 10th April 2026, fun-filled and recreational activities were organized for students from Nursery to Class 7th, bringing joy and excitement to the campus.
On 11th April 2026, a Cross Country – “Run & Rise " was conducted for Classes 8th to 12th, where students showcased energy, stamina and sportsmanship.
The event highlighted the importance of fitness, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. The Principal and school management appreciated everyone’s efforts in making the celebration successful.
Commencement of the New Academic Session 2026–27
The new academic session at the school commenced on a spiritual note with the initiation of the Akand Path Sahib on April 4th, 2026, to seek the blessings of the Almighty and to mark the auspicious occasion of Founder’s Day.
The ceremony concluded with the Bhog on April 6th, 2026. On this occasion, students, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, participated with devotion and reverence. Guru Ka Langar was served to all, reflecting the values of unity, humility and selfless service, and setting a positive tone for the academic session ahead.

Teacher Training Session at Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala
A two-day Kindergarten Teacher Training Session was successfully organised on April 2nd and 3rd, 2026, at Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala. The session was conducted by Ms. Mahima Kaur, Creative Director, along with her team from Dreaming Child, Delhi.
The programme was held in the presence of Director S. Partap Singh, Principal Ms. Jasjeet Sohi, Dr. Harleen Kaur (Principal, GNF Global School, Jalandhar) and Ms. Harmeet Kaur (Vice Principal, GNFPS, Mohali).
Kindergarten educators from all three branches participated enthusiastically. The training focused on learner-centered strategies for children aged 0–6 years, emphasizing hands-on and activity-based learning. Sessions on phonics drills and number sense were also conducted.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session, and teachers appreciated the usefulness of the training.

Fusion Fest ,the Annual cum Sports Day was celebrated on 28th November 2024 amidst great mirth, verve, and camaraderie. Mr. Manoj Gorsi, DSP City 2,Mr.Jatinder Pal Hanspal,Mr S.P.Singh ,Mrs. Ritu Sarao, Director of Little Pumpkin Farms Pre-school Patiala, Principal Raman Deep Singh of Little Ducklings Pre-school Patiala, Principal Ishant Sharma of Kidzee School Patiala, Principal Harminder Singh of Little Hearts Play School Patiala, Principal Rupinder Kaur of First Foundation Pre-school Patiala, Principal Amandeep Singh of Apple Seeds School Patiala and Principal Aneesh Mehta of Bachpan School Patiala were the guests of honour.
S. Partap Singh Ji, Director of Guru Nanak Foundation, Mrs. Renu Hanspal, Deputy Director of Guru Nanak Foundation and other invited dignitaries were present on the occasion. Mrs. Jasjeet Sohi, Principal of GNFPS, Patiala, formally welcomed the chief guest and the gathering.
The event commenced with the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the meet open by the chief guest. This was followed by a spectacular, impressive and well-synchronized March Past by the four house contingents.
The most intriguing aspects of the event were the field and track displays. Races for the parents of the students were also held, which they thoroughly enjoyed. A staff race was also organized with teachers participating enthusiastically. The chief guest lauded the zest and vitality of the students.
To seek the blessings of the Almighty, the cultural program began with a Shabad followed by a wide variety of events such as Mass PT, Gatka, National Integration, Bhangra, Martial Arts, Zumba, and other dance performances, which were spectacular and enthralled the audience.
The titles of Best Athlete for boys and girls were awarded to Master Tushar from Class 11th Non-Medical and Ms. Muskan from Class 10th, respectively. Upkar House bagged the Best House Trophy and was awarded a cash prize of ₹2,100.
The function concluded with great fervour, zest and zeal.

Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, observed "Swachhata Hi Seva" week with enthusiasm. Students of classes 4th and 5th participated in an awareness rally, promoting cleanliness by carrying banners and reciting slogans to highlight the importance of clean roads and surroundings.
The school also conducted a "Shapath Grahan" and "Awareness sessions" encouraging students to commit to cleanliness and hygiene for a better future.
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, successfully conducted a mock evacuation drill on 16th October 2024, under the guidance of Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, (Disaster Management, First Aid, and Civil Defence Trainer) and Inspector Karamjeet Kaur (Awareness Cell, Range Officer, Patiala). The drill emphasized safe evacuation procedures in emergencies and students were trained in fire safety management, including hands-on demonstrations of fire extinguishers and cylinders to control small fires.
Additionally, the students participated in first aid training and a health awareness session, equipping them with essential skills to handle emergencies effectively.
The session proved to be highly effective and informative.
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, was honoured by the Blood Centre,Government Medical College, Patiala, on 8th October 2024. The school received an "Award of Honour" during the CME cum Workshop organized on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2024 for its unwavering commitment to the community service and blood donation initiatives. The school was awarded with a certificate and a token of appreciation.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Director Principal , Government Medical College, Patiala, Dr. Rajan Singla, Organizing Chairperson Prof. Dr. Monica Garg and other eminent doctors. Their support and encouragement further highlighted the significance of this noble cause.

The trip was both fun and the learning in the most amazing way under the care and vigilance of their mentors.

Observing the shift in the education system, GNFPS, Patiala perceived a need for training sessions for its kindergarten teachers so as to get more exactness about the NEP policies.
The training sessions were conducted by Mrs.Veena Das,a teacher,mentor and a trainer with an experience of almost 40 years.
Mrs Das gave the teachers a new perspective towards learning and equipped them with distinctive teaching aids which can furnish the students with number of thinking tools.
The GNFPS kindergarten team is now looking forward to implement the newly learnt skills practically.

The Teej Fiesta was a memorable celebration featuring an array of engaging activities including an Inter-House Folk Dance Competition,Solo Dance Performance,Punjabi folk songs(singing ),Lively skits, Ramp walk, puppet dance and Punjabi folk dance by tiny tots of classes 1st to 3rd
One of the highlights of the event was the Mrs. Teej Contest, showcasing the grace and talent of the ladies and the winner of the contest was Harminder Kaur.Next we had the talent show for kids which was a testament to the diverse skills of the young students. Adding to the festive spirit, there were various stalls offering delicious eatables, floral swings, and Mehndi designs, enhancing the cultural essence of the event.
The Principal extended a warm welcome to them, and a heartfelt vote of thanks was given at the end of the program.
The event was a resounding success, drawing people from all over Patiala, as it was open to the public. A lucky draw added to the excitement, with the first prize being an air fryer, the second prize a microwave, and the third prize a smartwatch.Trophies were also awarded to the winners of the talent show, celebrating their exceptional performances.

GNFPS, Patiala is thrilled to announce that Chetna Kashyap, a Class 12th Humanities student, secured 1st position in the Senior Non-Percussion Instrument (Sitar Playing) category at the prestigious Dr. J.S. Bawra Sangeet Pratiyogita, organized by Sangeet Kala Manch on 28th September 2024 at CICI Banquet Hall, Jalandhar.
Chetna's exceptional performance was highly appreciated by eminent musicians like Pt. Siddharth Chatterjee (Tabla Vadak), Dr. Priyanka Chatterjee, Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, and Pt. Narendra Mishra (renowned Sitar Vadak from Banaras).
There were180 participants from various cities across India, including Banaras, Bareilly, Kolkata etc.

Science Day Celebration
To inculcate the value of scientific thinking by enhancing scientific temperament among the students, Science Day was celebrated in GNFPS, Patiala on 28.02.24. Different activities like quiz, group song and dance were performed by the students of classes 4th to 9th wherein they interpreted scientific concepts through movement and expression. Students of primary wing took on the roles of renowned scientists and briefed about their contributions to the world.Different experiments were shown to the students with an aim that life activities are almost science and not miracles. Overall, it was an enriching experience for the students.

Worthy Session
An informative session on “Road Safety”,"First Aid"and “Cyber Crime” was organised at GNFPS,Patiala on 29.02.24 for the students of classes VII and VIII by Mr. Kaka Ram Verma DTS (Retd.) Red cross Society Patiala. He imparted knowledge of how to provide first aid in case of fainting,unconsciousness and other commonly occurring situations in our day to day life. He also made the students aware of the road safety and various traffic rules.A part from this he acquainted the students about different kinds of cyber crimes and their consequences. There was an active participation by all the students. Our honourable Deputy Director,Mrs.Renu Hanspal and respected Principal,Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi appreciated his efforts for taking an initiative towards this noble cause which was highly informative and insightful.

HASTA LA VISTA 2023-24 Gnfps,Patiala organised farewell for the outgoing classXll (2023 -24) on 30th December 2023 at Palm Courts,Patiala . Class XI(2O23-24) had arranged this ceremony named as Hasta La Vista to bid adieu to their seniors. The event commenced with the welcome of honourable Deputy Director Mrs.Renu Hanspal and Respected Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi.The programme was adorned by devotional song by Shivom,Kritika and Saravjot Singh,guitar playing and melodious singing by Shivom of XI ,ramp walk and fusion dance numbers. The zenith of the event was Bhangra performance by Class XI.Many students from class 12th shared emotional anecdotes from their memorable school days. ਤਿਲਕ ਜੰਝੂ ਰਾਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾਕਾ II ਕੀਨੋ ਬਡੋ ਕਲੂ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਕਾ II A special Assembly was conducted in GNFPS,Patiala to pay a tribute to the 9th Sikh Guru Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji.The Assembly was hosted by Vigyan House.It commenced with the prayers and hymns ,followed by a speech on the unprecedented sacrifice of Guruji and his beloved Sikhs for the human race by the students of class 8th ,a poem describing the unwavering courage and selflessness of Guru Sahib Ji was presented by the students of class 5th. A speech highlighting the historical significance of the Guru Ji's Martyrdom and emphasizing the values he stood for was given by one of the teacher.The whole week was dedicated to the sacrifice of Guruji in the form of Sakhi,poems, quiz etc. by the students of classes Nursery to XII.Our honourable Deputy Director Mrs.Renu Hanspal and respected Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi also paid tribute to the Lasani shahadat of Guru Sahib Ji.

In accordance to CBSE guidelines,GNFPS,Patiala observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30 October to 5 November 2023 in the school premises.An '𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞' was taken by the students as well as teachers against corruption.Poster making activity highlighting the harmful effects of corruption was also done by the students of Class VIII.

First Aid Session
GNFPS, Patiala conducted a training session for the whole Teaching Staff.The speakers of the session were Mr.Kaka Ram Verma ex.DTS,Red Cross and Inspector Karamjit Kaur Incharge Traffic Education Cell.They talked about First Aid for injuries,causes of heart attack, symptoms of heart attack and also preventive measures for the same.They also spoke about the benefits and functioning of CPR. Educators were trained about how to prevent fire accidents.Madam Karamjeet Kaur spread awareness about cyber crime prevention.Principal Mrs.Jasjeet Sohi thanked the speakers for guiding and training the teachers how to handle situations in case of emergency.Overall the session was enriching and knowledgeable which would help the teachers to be valuable citizens of the society .

GNFPS, PATIALA Wrestler Amandeep Singh from Class IX -C showcased his wrestling skill at State Level organised by School Games Federation of India at Amritsar.He got Gold medal under -14 category and has been selected for the National level Tournament to be held at Madhya Pradesh next month.
The entire GNFPS family congratulated him and wished him good luck for his future endeavors.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION

The Teachers' Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.Special Assembly was conducted on 5.09.23. by the students of classes 1st to 10th . The event commenced by seeking the blessings of Almighty,followed by recitation of poem by the students of primary wing ,fun games for teachers, heartwarming songs, mesmerizing dances and activities like making of bookmarks and cards for the teachers.
Principal,Mrs. Jasjeet Sohi, took over the stage to express her gratitude and heartfelt wishes to our dedicated teachers for their unwavering dedication and hard work.

Teej was celebrated in GNFPS Patiala with mirth and joy by the students of classes 4th -10th. To show glimpse of Punjabi culture the stage was decorated with phulkari,charkha,chhaj etc . Special Assembly was organised which began with Mool Mantar followed by speech,Giddha ,folk songs and skit. Various activities and Inter House Competitions like mehndi rachao, cooking, drawing etc.were also conducted with the motive to bind the students with our rich Punjabi heritage.

Kargil Vijay Diwas
The spirit of true patriotism was revived when GNFPS, Patiala celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas at the school premises on 26.07.23.
Special assembly was conducted in context to it which was commenced by seeking the blessings of Almighty followed by an English play depicting the true story of bravery and sacrifice made by Indian soldiers .The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
The students of classes 4th to 8th participated in Poster Making Activity . The motive of promoting patriotism in the children was well achieved.
